The refugees from Nyarugusu consume more sugar cane, during this period the sugar cane producers harvest more sugar cane stalks. These farmers are Tanzanians and their buyers or customers are refugees from Nyarugusu. The sugar cane stalk plantation is located outside of Nyarugusu camp.
A seller of sugar cane stalks refused to make the retail purchase to a customer who finds it on village road 14, this seller said he didn't want to sell piece by piece. He has the customers who buy wholesale for retail by bits of stems. He earns the bread of the day thanks to their courage and their spirit of creativity.
