These two little girls, their parents are from eastern Congo, now live in Tanzania in the Nyarugusu refugee camp. Ester is a second year schoolgirl at the Amani school in village A2. Her friend Yvonne has not yet started school. Ester shapes hair on her friend's head to create hair braids. I approached her to see how it was going. I asked her if she really knew how to braid, Ester replied: "Na jifunza ku suka", which means that "I learn how to get my hair braided." I have seen that these a little girls imitate the girls from the neighborhood who spend all their time combing their hair after the school.
