UNHCR, in collaboration with other international and national organizations working in Nyarugusu, put up cans and soaps in the corner of the camp and in offices for handwashing against virus. Doctors are at the camp gate to test everyone, including Tanzanian workers and expats who come to work or visit Nyarugus Camp. The refugees praised UNHCR for protecting it from COVID-19 and they hope the coronavirus will not reach Nyarugusu, because the measure applied by UNHCR is well shown to control the spread of the coronavirus.
