Paul is a local farmer who earns his living in the refugee camp in Tanzania by growing maize.
His maize field is located on the banks of the Nyarugusu river at the edge of the Nyarugusu refugee camp.
We farm by season, and this is the season for growing maize. Harvesting our seeds helps us to meet our needs.
Paul obtains fertiliser from humanitarian organisations involved in agriculture.
The refugees receive agricultural training and fertiliser to grow plants. Thanks to this, the refugees have gardens and fields around the camp.
