Kochakindo is a village found in at Kahe district in Kilimanjaro region.
Kochakindo is the name derived from chaga tribe which means make up something new. Agriculture is the main activity for most of its people However there are many women engaging themselves in baskets making and selling.
"My job is to make baskets and sell then to customers from Moshi town. Income from this business is what sustains my personal and family needs. Seeing and meet deferent visitors in our village who come to see our crafts motivate us to do it better" Ester.
It is pleasing to see how families unite to craft baskets and sell them.
