While passing to Zone 10 in the Burundian parts, I met several women and girls who were washing clothes. The girl in the photo is called Nadia. Today, she decided to wash the clothes and dresses of her boyfriend and sister and the boy's neighbor. The cleaning place is located a few meters from her house.
Do you know that in Nyarugusu, most girls help boys wash clothes and also transport water from the tap? They do this out of respect for ethnicity, and according to some ethnic groups, boys also cannot wash clothes or prepare food in the presence of girls. Girls are always seen cleaning and helping their single brothers.
