In the old days in Nyarugusu camps motorcycles and bicycles were used to transport around the camp. During 2017, motorcycles were banned at the Nyarugusu camp to prevent accidents. Bikes are still allowed today.
Means of transport are important for human life here in the camps, and therefore some refugees have own bicycles for transportation.
