Walking along the Nyarugusu River, we were delighted to see a brave little girl tending their tomato garden. Esta (8) does maintenance work in their tomato garden on the outskirts of their home near the Nyarugusu river. seeing Esta collecting plastic we were interested to ask her some questions. ''Often when my parents do maintenance work, I go with them to pick up plastic. This is what I can do when I grow up, so I'll be able to do more than this.'' Small gardens are also part of the support to find food for the refugees of the Nyarugusu camp, in several sides of the camp refugees are farming to find vegetables and other benefits.
