Congolese and Burundian refugees go to the river every day to wash their clothes. You can see young girls coming from the river in this photos. They told us, "We are already big girls and we have to help our brothers, our sisters and our parents in washing clothes."

We consider a 15-year-old girl to be an adult here in the camp, so in families young girls between the ages of 15 and 18 work hard with courage in the housework, while the older care for other things.
