As you know, our aim is to show you the life of the refugees here in Nyarugusu, their daily way of life. We met a 19 year old Hassan Mayaka, he is a designer. He showed us these artistic works with an explanation. Hassan Mayaka said:

"Drawing is all I have, in any case it is my last hope, I have no parents to pay me a certain need for the project of my Art. I got my high school diploma, but there is no university or higher institute, I can say that my schooling stopped there, I think about studying The Academy of Art.
So I draw every day; hoping that one day I will be a great artist, for the moment I am drawing to practice, I don't have effective equipment, but I don't want that to be the reason to be discouraged, I draw today, I would still like to do it tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, I would like to do my whole life, anyway that is what I want."

In the Nyarugusu camps, there are artists from different fields. As a designer, musicians, dancers and other fields ... For some music artists, they work in the youth center here at the camp and they are financed By Rescue. Other artists have difficulties that prevent them in advance, like the lack of material.
