In Nyarugusu, many people use charcoal like dried wood stalks for food preparation, coals are forbidden to preserve the environment by fighting against desertification.

Coal products are the black market in the camps. We had met a Tanzanian who sells these coals in the camps. They tell us: I am looking for the customer to buy my goods at 20,000 shils = $ 10 because there is a risk to be goods confiscated by the police or CMDO agents who are fighting for the environment.

Despite this, this trade is prohibited but the sellers continue their work and the buyers still profit from it.
